Wax Begonia
Our day was much calmer than yesterday. I had 10 times fewer steps. Kim has to turn in her application to the National Board for Teaching Standards on Thursday and asked me to read all her paperwork. That was my priority one task of the day. I started it right after I finished breakfast and morning prayer on the front porch. It started raining last night and has continued all day. We don’t anticipate blue skies until Friday. Kristen gave me this beautiful begonia for Mother’s Day. A few blooms are past their prime but it has tons of unopened buds. It has a place of honor on the porch. Just hope I don’t kill it like I did the one my sister gave me a few years ago. Hubby got a hair cut after breakfast. He surely needed it. He lets it grow so he fits in with his musician friends at MerleFest. He practiced his new banjo while I was reading. It was time to pick up Brooklyn when I finished editing Kim’s paper. Hubby had an appointment with his cardiologist. They say his heart looks fine. All good news. I have to edit our WV menu and update our inventory spreadsheet tonight. Salads are made so only have to heat the lobster/crab lasagna Renee made for dinner. But it may be nap time before any other task. Wishing you a bit of rest. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “The last begonias wilting in the chalet's hanging baskets laced the air with a lemon and cinnamon fragrance.” - Stephen Lloyd Jones
