Early morning escapism

A most enjoyable couple of hours on the plot. Adding some rich homemade compost to 3 beds, plus a generous topping to the French bean trench. Planted out 3 courgette, & 1 pumpkin. Runner beans & broad bean looked happy. I picked perennial kale, & pulled rhubarb. Some for Alison, plus rhubarb to poach for breakfast topping.
Down to CK, gave Mum breakfast, then walked Indie.
Appointment in BT at 11.30 with Mum's care provider to discuss a care package to cover my holiday. Sorted! That is a massive relief I can tell you.
Rang the Independent Living Centre in NA regarding making the gas cooker safe. A very helpful OT sent me a link to contact enquiring about a Locking Cooker Valve. I sent an email with my phone number, within 30minutes I received a phonecall explaining my needs. When would it be convenient for an engineer to call?. Appointment for 8-9am next Tuesday. Brilliant!
Rang Jean - no luck finding sun parasols suitable for their needs. Will keep looking.
Made Mum's lunch while she worked on her latest masterpiece.

This afternoon I emailed LPA access codes to Mum's utilities, & attempted to inform the Halifax House Insurance bods. Only able to make a phonecall. What a palaver!!! They wanted a photo id... Well, I never did receive the link so I hope Sandjit is'nt still on the other end of the phone.
