Tiny Fir Cones

Well we did have a significant thunder storm last evening but the storm didn’t produce much rain, but at least I didn’t have to water the plants this evening.

This morning dawned bright and breezy and turned into another very hot day.  Friend Rose called round before lunch and we took a turn ( a little meander) round the block.  We saw Lots of gorgeous blossom, beautiful gardens and a huge fir tree bearing these little fir cones.  Back home I made lunch and R and I sat out in the garden and chewed the fat.  I got a cancellation for a much needed pedicure At 2pm, so we said our goodbyes and I headed off for my lovely treatment.  An hour and a half later I got home very pleased with my ‘Strawberry Margherita’ toes.

Then off to the kitchen to prepare dinner for our friends K&C who will be joining us , and who we should have been going on holiday with to the Peak District tomorrow, but as Mr HB is still not 100%, we have postponed until another time.

Dinner over now and our friends have left.  It has been a lovely evening and very uplifting for Mr. HB. ( lots of flying talk!!).  k and I had lots of other things to catch up on!
