There it is!
The Biggest Week in American Birding...an annual festival held along the coast of Lake Erie west of Cleveland. Enthusiasts came from many US states and other countries. There are 90 birding trails along Lake Erie from one end of Ohio to the other.
Most photos are from Magee Marsh where we spent most of the day photographing off the boardwalk. Check out Mary's photos for some great and different shots.
Clockwise from the left on collages:
Extra 1: Mary and Diane, Sasquatch Sally (after falling in the lake), birders, photographers, etc.
Extra 2: Redstart, Magnolia Warbler, Great Egret, Green Heron
Extra 3: Yellow Rumped Warbler (immature Myrtle?), Yellow Rumped Warbler (male, Audubon's?), Warbling Vireo, Rose-Breasted Grosbeak
Extra 4: Yellow Warbler, Prothonotary Warbler (lousy shot)
We also visited the public portion of Crane Creek Preserve, a lighthouse in Huron, a lighthouse in Vermillion, and dinner at Rudy's Bar where I ate the best cheeseburger ever!
We are having a wonderful time and I'm tired, so that's me for today. I will post today's photos tomorrow.
