Here and Now

Lakeview Cemetery

A beautiful day with Mary and Diane.  We all enjoyed the beautiful grounds of Lakeview Cemetery along with the James A. Garfield Monument (extras). We drove through the Cleveland Cultural Gardens to the Rockefeller Greenhouse where Diane and Mary found some irises that couldn't be left behind.  We stopped at the Carnegie/aka Hope Memorial Bridge (named after Bob Hope's father who was a stonemason that worked on building the bridge) to take a picture of one of the Guardians of Transportation at one end. A late lunch was had at Flat Iron Cafe where we saw a tug boat push an ore boat around the Cuyahoga River bend.  After a somewhat maddening drive through downtown, eventually we were on our way home.
