More Dragons
After a medical appointment I headed to Frensham Little Pond for coffee, a walk and lunch (in that order), making the most of the continuing fine, warm weather.
As I sat drinking my coffee I watched the dragonflies flitting around and occasionally pausing on a reed or stick. There were even more as I wandered round the pond on my walk, including this fine specimen who perched nicely for me; a black-tailed skimmer I believe.
Further round the pond from a viewing area I spotted a pair of great crested grebe with what looked like one carrying its young on their back. Sadly they were a long way away which even my long lens plus extender (to give 700mm focal length) couldn't reach properly. As I have never seen this behaviour before I used LR super-resolution and a heavy crop to produce an image, which is in extras.
