Lights, Camera....

...Action...pretty much sums up the day...

it was an action day in that my errands had piled up and there was a lot of running around for groceries, prescriptions, garden supplies, getting gifts in the mail etc. There was a time in my younger years when I was organized. Birthday cards got sent in time, the pantry shelves were stocked, the laundry was done. Ironically, that was when I was a working single parent! I would get these types of errands done on my way home from work..now they take up a whole day!

It was a very productive day despite some glitches. There are always glitches... and at the end of the day, I still had enough energy left to tackle putting up the new string of lights on the garden arch. Not an easy task. Taking the old string down was easy peasy - just cut the wire - no need to unravel and pull the whole thing out through all that tangled vine. Putting up the new one? Yikes...much patience required and many thanks to Gary the gardener who had given that vine a real haircut last fall! Still it elicited many words not suitable for prime time. But the reward was there when dusk arrived and voila! The lights came on for the first time in over year!

I have not posted many pix of Maggie for a while as she didn't seem to be herself; no happy faces...I was a bit worried about her, but lately she seems on top of things again...and I mean literally "on top of things" (extra), leaping from chair to chair, up on tables.,pouncing at the patio screen door trying to attack squirrels. She is due again this week for her arthritis shot and for once, she really doesn't seem to need it? Where did that come from? Hope it bodes well....
