Crochet makes Light work for Idle Hands
With an unusually busy morning of housewifely duties on the domestic front, I find myself once again in the afternoon with zilch in the blip can which is why you are looking at my happy box of stashed yarn. Cleaned bathrooms and tidied kitchens don’t immediately suggest a blip, not does the bundle of ‘stuff’ taken to the local Shelter Charity shop. Instead I am letting you into my secret born again Granny square crocheting hobby. Unlike knitting, I was never taught to crochet and I am sure that even now I would be hard pressed to follow a crochet pattern which is why Granny Squares come into their own - simple to do and a distraction for the hands when watching TV. The result will no doubt form a blip in the future..
The sun took an ‘awfy’ long time to dispel the haar today and although the sky is universally blue now, the breeze has got a NE easterly chill to it. I have tucked myself into a corner of the patio to avoid it.
I am looking forward to hosting a mini blipmeet this evening when SooB, who is in town this week, comes with Magpie to the Dower House for some wine and nibbles. With any luck I can extort a blip of the pair of them before it all gets too convivial and out of hand.
