Église Sainte - Catherine

Visited the Sainte-Catherine church in Honfleur before we left the city. It was built from ship timbers in the 15th century after the former stone church was destroyed in the Hundred Years war between England and France. Headed for the D-Day memorials. First stop the
Pegasus Memorial presenting the missions the British 6th Airborne Division had to carry out 5-6 June 44. Then to Juno Beach Centre where the Canadians landed alongside the Allied forces and suffered 50% of their losses in the first hour of the assault. It affects me when I experience the places and still learn more from the war I have read so much about. Thank you for following me. Hope you understand why I am behind with my comments. More D-Day for me tomorrow.
