Dry Kale Rig
A whole day of sunshine again. Slightly cooler with a northerly breeze, average 15⁰c, but a top temperature of 17⁰c this afternoon. Still light after 10pm now.
Working on my own again, more pressure washing bus shelters. I've been in Sand, Reawick, Sandness and Waas, with the odd one along the way. In the garden after work. Working in the shop this evening, a busy night with the fine weather. Feet up before bed.
While the majority of Shetland has had their spirits lifted with this lovely spell of weather, I'm sure there are some wanting some rain. The soaked hills hae fairly dried out, a week without rain, and looks another week at least with similar sunny weather. This is unusual for May, we could have snow at this time of year. This kale rig is looking rather dry, not many crofters have a water irrigation setup for this dry spells. I've had to be watering my own garden lately, can't say I've done that much in May. Long may it continue, as most are enjoying it, and well deserved after the long winter. A dry kale rig, Melby, Sandness.
