The Campsie Fells

J and I went to practice our bowling skills this afternoon - I'm still not very good - and on the way home visited Caulders garden centre to buy Starling -proof bird feeders.  Starlings have suddenly  been visiting my bird feeders for about 6 days now. and they have frightened away the small birds.  I have to get to about 2 feet from the feeders before they fly off. 

Before we bought the new feeders we had coffee and cake on the terrace of the cafe.  East Kilbride where we live is about 600 feet above sea level and from Caulders you can see all the way over Glasgow and as it was another beautiful day with a clear blue sky, we could see the Campsie Fells which are about 40 miles and an hour + drive from Caulders.
