Haar

I had a lovely walk with my friend Karen round the estate, then we had coffee and scone at the Storehouse before walking back through the estate to the car park. It was beautifully sunny and warm
Then I went to Portobello for an early afternoon row - armed with sun hat and and sun block. As I arrived I could see that the sea was calm enough to row but by the time I got to the boat yard, the sea had disappeared! The haar had descended in less than ten minutes and the visibility was so poor that we cancelled rowing - again! There are too many swimmers in Portobello and we didn't want to risk not being able to see them. The wind was picking up too and was due to get worse. Instead I went to the Greek pastry shop with my friend Antonio and had a good chat, then joined a couple from the crew for a coffee. 
After that I went to Katya's - Lucie had just arrived from London and we had a lovely evening together with an early meal at Cosmo - then back home to walk Django before bed.
