The cottage

This is part of a cottage which consists of three rooms. Originally, two of the rooms were used for feeding farm animals and housing them overnight. The other room was used as a store for the hay and was where the shepherd slept. When we first came here, this room is where our chickens came in to sleep at night.

It wasn't too long before we got around to throwing the chickens out and converted it into a bedroom. (Don't feel sorry for the chickens - we made them a nice place of their own).

In the background, the mountains are looking suitably steamy in the hazy sun.

The flowers in the foreground are from bulbs I borrowed from the garden of a deserted house and now grow with no encouragement. No idea of their name though.
