The things you overhear …

There are many beautiful houses and cottages in neighbouring Inveresk village, which I am lucky to see each day on my morning walk getting some steps in, while Martin is at the gym.

In other news, I was visiting the dental hygienist, who was regaling me on her latest experiences on online dating … her exact words were ‘brutal’. I told her that she should go late night shopping to the supermarket, apparently, many romances begin there!

On another romantic note. While on my walk this morning, I overheard a ‘lady’ telling her friend over the phone (exact wording): 

‘I told her she was a slag for stealing ma man, before clocking her, she won’t be doing that again’. I suspect that the gentleman being discussed in this altercation was not totally innocent in all of this either, after all, it takes two to tango! 

All in all, an interesting day, and the beautiful weather continues, with warnings that we may be heading for hosepipe bans, if this weather continues.
