Angela- arts entrepreneur
Met the amazing Angela Watt this afternoon , an arts entrepreneur who has just pulled off an amazing feat of re-launching Open Studios for the Clackmannanshire area in a matter of weeks.
I first encountered her nearly twenty years ago when she launched Resonate, a community arts project in Alloa with a focus on inclusion utilising the creative process to pull communities together. As a result the charity flourished.
This afternoon I delivered work for their Open Studios. It was also a chance to see Crossbridge Cultural Campus, a former semi derelict distillery office which they are in the process of converting helped by a grant of £250,000.
Angela is also chair and founder of the local branch of United Nations Association Scotland and Euclid Network -Top 100 European Women Social Enterprises 2021.
Her energy and enthusiasm plus her great people skills make her a much-needed advocate for Clackmannanshire, the smallest county in Scotland and often overlooked by its bigger neighbours of Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Oh yes, she is an advocate of AI and founded the first AI Forum for the area. She says: “I believe artificial intelligence is where the future lies.”
