Are we heading for a drought?

I welcome the warm weather. But what next? Climate change is coming faster than anyone had predicted.
 
M, on a walking holiday in the Lakes with friends, sent me this photo of Haweswater which  is so low that people are taking a short cut and walking straight across it .
 
Meanwhile each day the garden surprises me. Today we have roses and tulips blooming together, and  I have spent an inordinate amount of time watering the plants, something unheard of in Scotland at this time of the year.
