A Sycamore Tree

I just like this tree. We saw it today while walking with Beda in Heritage Harbor Park. The way the light was hitting the tree seemed magical to me.

From SavaTree, "The most unique feature of the sycamore tree is its camouflage-looking bark. The outer bark is unable to grow at the same rate as the trunk and limbs thus shedding its skin."

Mom was discharged from the hospital today and transferred to a Rehabilitation facility that could accommodate covid isolation. She will be there about a week and then we plan on transferring her to a facility with a Memory Care Unit and skilled nursing to finish her rehabilitation therapy for her hip. Whew. Good there are many hands orchestrating all these changes. Mom was tired when we saw her which was expected, but she is a real trooper.
