Cosy

The Minx and I went across to Lancaster this morning, hoping to purchase a barbecue, but when we went to Argos, the terminal said it wasn't in stock. By way of compensation, and so that it wasn't a wasted trip, she bought some wood treatment to do up the bar she built in the garden a few years ago.

I did a few chores during the day, too, including dropping Dan off in Kendal to play percussion in a version of 'Carmina Burana' for choir, two pianists, and five percussionists. Dan has never played percussion in an orchestra before but his chum Paddy had reassured him that he was only playing bass drum and could work off the score!

And later on, I picked up Hannah from Oxenholme, and then she, the Minx, and I spent the evening in front of the restored bar. I got the chiminea really going, and it kept us warm even after the evening chill descended.
