ARNSIDE

It was such a lovely morning I decided to pluck up the courage and go out on my own somewhere for a couple of hours for the first time since my diagnosis.

Hubby and Garron were busy-ish at home so as I haven't visited Arnside yet this year (a rarity for me) I decided today was a good day to go.

The traffic was quite busy going but I was still there by 10:15, no problem with getting parked up.  I waved up the hill vaguely in the direction of Knottman and then over to home in Kents Bank, some people smiling at me - well it has to be done doesn't it!!!!

I started off with coffee and a cherry, chocolate and coconut slice (wicked but yummy) in The Sandpiper.  That was busy, the only table available was the sofar with a low coffee table, but as I was only drinking coffee and eating a slice of something that was fine.

Then I went for a walk along The Prom, the beach and just up as far as The Coast Guard Station.  Quite a few people about but just pleasantly busy.

I was there for about 2 hours, having such a lovely quiet time, but then started feeling a bit jittery for being on my own away from home for so long (silly of me) so headed home.  No problems with the roads so arrived home in time for lunch.

I enclose a collage of some of the things I saw whilst out today.  The cormorant was actually quite a long way off but I managed to get a reasonable shot of it considering the distance.

That's it for today, do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
