Happy times

We had Simone with us today, unusually: all part of the plan to help Marianna to make a full recovery from her complex chest infection.
Given a sunny day and Simone's equally sunny disposition, it wasn't difficult. We went out to a local park and playground in the morning, and pottered about in the house and garden after that.
Later I took Simone over to Josh and Ruth's, as there's usually a Friday teatime gathering of both families.  Eben was out playing with a friend when we arrived, and Frieda, Jack and Marianna didn't arrive till nearly 5 pm. This gave Simone and Luca a bit of time to play together. I think it's a relief for Luca when he can be the nurturing older cousin, rather than always being the youngest trying to keep up. Given a bit of space, he's very caring with Simone.  They had a great time in a low-slung hammock together, swinging to and fro.
