Bog Beacon Fungus - Backblip 2 of 4
Today's highlights included a lovely walk into the mountains with a Bramble that is still not 100% okay with her balance. We met four seniors heading up to 1 or maybe 2 Munroes. We aren't at that level (yet....ha ha).
On the way back I saw this bright fungus sticking up in the ditch. Bog Beacon is only a few cms high but is aptly named. It grows in wet places on decaying matter, and it caught my attention.
My extra was stationary on the path, disturbed by our passing. My first clear sighting of a European Adder or Viper - apparently they are the same.
