Swedish Colours

It has been a long cold spring. Day after day, temperatures were at best around 10°C.  The wind was cold and stole any warmth from a shining sun. Moving around outside a thick jumper was needed, maybe a jacket too.
And then we woke up this morning and it was different. The air was warm, the sun had real heat, and the breeze brought a welcome coolness. Suddenly I was thinking about shorts, rather than down jackets!
We sat outside for cups of tea and enjoyed working in the garden in this new atmosphere. Which was a good thing because we'd had a message that our British passports would be delivered sometime today and we had to sign for them. No going out for walks or picnics!
Part of the work was moving cowslips out of the robo-mowers lawn. When I cut the grass, I cut around these flowers, but the robo-mower just does its job and mows them down. So some of them were dug up and moved to new safer places.
The cowslips in the picture are in another part of the garden. Just now the grass (and cowslips, and wood anemones) are being left to grow here, and when the wood anemones die back and I cut the grass I'll leave these lovely yellow flowers to bloom and spread.
I felt happy with this low angle, mouse's eye view of the flowers. It somehow feels very Swedish. The yellow and blue are the colours of the Swedish flag, and the white-cornered red house adds to the Swedish feel for me.
It has been a lovely day!
