View from the sofa...

A little distorted by the wide-angle lens but I think the picture still shows the spirit of our meeting. Lots of former colleagues meeting up, catching up, and generally having fun. We all worked for a government department that specialised in distance adult education and digital methods. Now we are mostly retired!
This event started life as a suggestion to go out for an after-work session somewhere. However, so many people wanted to take part that it was hard to find somewhere, so Rose suggested we meet at her place. Everyone brought a little food and many brought a little drink too so there was plenty of sustenance on hand!
A lovely late afternoon together.
Earlier in the day Jan and I were outside a lot in the continuing warm weather. First breakfast outside, then garden work, and washing to hang out, and then the construction of a prototype bench using an old plank, two logs, and four screws. Then a little time in town fetching our camper van home from its service and doing a little shopping.
After that a quick wash and change of clothes before heading off to Rose for the party!
