San Isidro and La Cervesera

This week celebrates San Isidro and is marked by a variety of events all week. People dress up in these costumes and parade in the streets - you can’t miss them!

Bb and I both worked in the hostal, switching between the little desk in our room and using the sofa area in the reception area (unmanned as the main reception is one floor down), depending on needs.

At night we decided we wanted to escape the crowds in central Madrid and went for tapas to La Cervesera, where we went with one of Bb’s clients a few years ago. Lovely food and service. Worth the effort to get there and we’ve now worked out which metro we need for next time.
