The Indian Pacific

Aptly named as this 27 carriage train has indeed travelled from one side of Australia to the other.  From the Pacific to the Indian Ocean.  Our good friends Myra and Sabine arrived on the train this afternoon and it was a very festive atmosphere when we arrived about half an hour before the train was due to pull into the station.  There’s something very romantic about train travel and I really felt like I would like to be boarding the train as it turned tail to head back to the East.  It was wonderful to see our good friends again.  They have been in my life for almost 30 years now and I really do miss having them living just down the road as they did in the Blue Mountains.
