Happiness Is….
Having my great mates Myra and Sabine in town and not letting them out of my sight :))). We all drove up to the Perth Hills this morning so that Myra could visit her 93 year old cousin who lives in a lovely little village called Chidlow. We ended up back in Mundaring for lunch and the sight of those two amazing iced chocolates was too good not to blip!! The cafe was called a “Patch of Country” and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw they had a corned beef and Piccadilli pickle sandwich on the menu. It was spectacular and worth the trip back to Mundaring at some stage for a repeat performance. They had a really great menu and all of the food was delicious. It was good old fashioned food served brillliantly.
Myra and Sabine are like family to me and have been in my life for almost 30 years now. They basically adopted me when I ended up living in a caravan on a 40 acre block of land in the Blue Mountains. It was my home over the time I spent planning and building Wombat Hollow. I can’t tell you the number of times they would call me late in the afternoon and tell me to hop in the car and head over the have a meal with them. They have been through all of the highs and lows of my life ever since and I love them dearly.
