Wild Wednesday ...

... day (and into the wee hours) from Hell.

We were up at 4:00 am this morning to make our 8:25 am flight to Newark Airport.

But we needn't have worried about being late for our flight.  

What started as a 5 minute delay ended with an 8 HOUR delay.  On the bright side (sarcastically she says) the pilot made up some time and we arrived in Newark only 7 hours after our original time ... which was supposed to 5:00 pm.  

But then there was yet another delay on touch down when we had to sit on the tarmac waiting for the gate to become available.  After collecting our luggage and getting the shuttle to our vehicle we were finally on our way home by 2:20 am Thursday ... arriving home at 3:30 am!

Needless to say our bags were not unpacked at that time.  I quite literally fell into bed as soon as I could manage.  But the important thing is we are now home with some very happy kitties.  And we had a wonderful time away.  I have several days to fill in and that will be done eventually.  And hopefully before our next adventures.
