Wood Sorrel

Oxalis acetosella

Had a lovely walk this afternoon with our friends S&R. When we stopped for a slice of cake we noticed that the ground was covered in wood sorrel. There were a few white flowers but it was mainly these beautiful green leaves.  Unfortunately Flora stole a slice of cake. Appalling behaviour. 

It's so hot today. More like high summer than mid May. I was so glad that we had a shady woodland walk. 

Another friend has suggested a walk but I need to cool down before I think about that. I'm doing that very thing with a glass of lemonade.
