1179 day of war
Hello, friends!
Today I’m celebrating my 30th birthday. I don’t particularly enjoy celebrating birthdays, but the overall mood right now is quite gloomy, so we decided to take a walk today, went to the park, bought a cake for dinner, and also met with my parents.
The feelings are quite mixed — it seems like time is passing very quickly and we’re losing it due to the restrictions brought by the war. We used to love spending time in nature, going on hikes, and now it feels like something unattainable. But I hope to get through these times, and I hope that someday we’ll be able to solve all these problems and return to a normal life. I try to believe that even if there are no visible options right now, they will surely appear when the time is right. So today I tried to distract myself from all the problems as much as possible and just be present in the moment.
In the country, we spent this week observing the "negotiations" in Istanbul. Everything that’s happening feels like a movie where the ending is obvious from the start, so we had no real hopes for them.
I remember when Zelensky became president in 2019, one of his campaign promises was to end the war in Donbas. And I remember reading that Putin didn’t agree even once to discuss anything over the phone. There were never any real hopes that he would come somewhere and be ready to explain why he’s ruining the lives of millions of people every day.
It seems that all these negotiations were just another way to show who is truly interested in continuing the war — and that’s exactly what happened. So I hope everything will work out for us, and I hope it won’t take many more years.
Thank you all for your support! I saw how the world reacted to all of this, and I’m glad that everyone is with us. It gives me hope that everything will be okay. I’m also very thankful for the support on Buymeacoffee.
