Cow Parsley (anthriscus sylvestris)

The cow parsley is looking lovely at the moment. Everywhere you look the hedgerows are a mass of frothy white flowers. Liked the backdrop of the sea and the islands ( Islay and Jura) for this shot.
Another vernacular name for this plant is 'Mother die' or 'Mummy die', which was used to frighten children into thinking that if they picked cow parsley, their mother would die. This was intended to deter children from potentially picking deadly hemlock which it resembles.
