Community Festival

Pottered round the garden for a couple of hours this morning and planted out more sunflowers, nasturtiums and sweet peas. 
Cycled to work to volunteer to be a helper for the University community festival.  Over 7000 people had registered to attend and after a slow start it got very busy.  My station was in full sun and after standing for 6 hours, I've definitely caught the sun on my face.  It was fun talking to people and helping them find their way round all the different zones.  Bumped into lots of people I know... one lady was in my ante natal group in 1991. She was there with her grandchildren.  
Exhausting day but fun.  Standing for that long hurt my dodgy leg/hip but a sit down and a shower when I got home helped. I may have a medicinal gin later.
