Stop and smell the roses
Walked down to the Pier and through the gardens. Everyone looked happy. We are so blessed to have this amazing weather.
Sat for a few minutes to enjoy some Reggae in the Square. Then bus to Boscombe for bread. Mr B dropped the food off and we had a drink on the terrace of a nearby hotel - overlooking their pool - every sun-bed taken.
Blipped the stunning scented rose at the entrance.
Home in time for Mr B's salad and then the wonderful 5'4" Yasmin Paolini. She didn't disappoint, and won the Italian Open - with that gorgeous smile. What a gal. Had tears in my eyes! She's in the Ladies' Doubles tomorrow. And Sinner plays Alcatraz.
Watching Eurovision now. May have to see the results tomorrow, as don't think I'll be awake till midnight!

“Stop and smell the roses” is an idiom that means to relax; to take time out of one's busy schedule to enjoy or appreciate the beauty of life. Whether you think of “stopping to smell the roses” as a metaphor, or an actual act of admiring roses, the benefit is the same.
