The Bathers
Temp22 C
What is it about water that attracts us to it as soon as the weather warms up? We seem to have some primeval urge to return to the sea.
But the sea is over 60 miles from Bridge of Allan so river bathing in the Allan Water is a popular alternative.
In Victorian times it was a well-known spa town and folk came here to “ take the waters” for their health including the writer R.L. Stevenson.
Personally, I never shifted far from the garden. Except to take this photo.
Enjoy the sun! this could be our summer.
