Backblip: Grandson A's First Birthday Party

This has ended up being a backblip, loaded on Sunday, as yesterday was a rather busy day! Grandson A will be one year old tomorrow (how did that time go so quickly?!), and as the weather forecast was good we decided to hold his party in our garden. I took this photo as we were setting things up in the morning (including putting up our new gazebo...cheaper than a summer house which my Editor has been fancying for a while!). The party balloons were commissioned remotely by Grandson P in Toronto - he has had balloons for the two birthdays he's had so far and was very keen that his cousin should have some too.

The party went really well, the sunshine didn't disappoint and the gazebo provided welcome shelter when necessary from the chilly NE breeze.

In the evening we were babysitting A while his Mum & Dad were out - I'd been going to upload my blip then but A had other ideas. The excitement of his party and the novelty of entertaining his grandparents for much of the evening meant that sleep wasn't his first priority! Fortunately however he was fast asleep by the time his parents arrived home :-)
