Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride
(And plenty of Distinguished Ladies too...)
I didn't really fancy going out for a walk today. We are going over to Jeri's later to celebrate Horatio's 16th birthday with the family. I was content to get some shots over there of Jeri's garden since she has been busy sprucing it up recently.
However Brian reminded me that this event was taking place today and he was going up to the Cathedral to look for a Blip. I decided to tag along for the exercise since I'm not meant to sit around for a whole day any more! It's a Worldwide event, all happening on the same day to raise money for Prostate Cancer and men's mental health charities. 103 were registered for Lincolnshire, but I believe more were involved by the time the event took place
Both men and women can take part, and they dress up in their finest clothes for the occasion The RAF were quite involved in Lincolnshire's ride, with the riders starting at RAF Wickenby, coming to the Cathedral where there was a flypast of the Lancaster plane, and then they would go on to conclude the ride at the Bomber Command Visitor Centre.
It was quite hard to take photos as they were all packed in to a small space, along with lots of other people. I have gone mono as it's ages since I las posted a mono shot. There's an extra of my favourite bike of the day.
I'm rushing as we need to leave for Jeri's now!
