A fresh wind this morning and not sunny so an ideal day to drive home. 
A different route..A 1 up to Yorkshire then across. 
The plan was to stop.at Twin locks for something to eat . 
But the gate to the garden centre was.closed. we.went  into the pub carpark next door but everywhere was closed and in darkness. I found someone who daid there was.a.power.c0 cut . So
So we.drove on to Clapham. The sun wa out and was quite hot so it was.quite pleasant to walk under the trees. 
 It's only 50 miles to home but heavy traffic slowed us down. 

Finally home and M was horrified to see some of his bigger bonsai wer really wilting . We have a large number of plants in pots too . So he spent the first couple.of hours watering absolutely everything.m they d picked.up by bedtim
Quick blip of the aquilegia flowers which I saved from the caterpillars.. They'd  been working their way up the plant and eaten most of the leaves but the flower buds survived.
