Cape Plumbago...

These are the impressive blue flowers of Cape Plumbago, a native of South Africa. We have a Florida native plumbago, Plumbago zeylanica. It has white flowers and is an important butterfly larval plant. 
Cape Plumbago is very popular as a landscape plant as it blooms profusely much of the year. Since I'm a fan of 'blue' flowers, Cape Plumbago grows happily in our yard, although I'm in the 'search mode' for the native plant variety to buy. Because that's exactly what I need...another plant!  hahaha m
