Kites...

Swallowtail Kites that is. Fletch and I spot them nearly every morning and  late afternoon on our walks. As they soar low overhead they often have some hapless creature in their beak or talons. They are arboreal hunters, snatching a lizard or snake off of a tree limb as they fly by. After their 'snack' they will often perch on a high snag and clean themselves. They are very fastidious birds.  m
