Vibrant

We had scaffolding put up on the house while I was away - ready for Ian to start re-doing our pointing next week.  Because the water butt is empty and Tim's knees are knackered, and the scaffolding is blocking off the steps on each side of the house I've been scrambling up the narrow slope by the side of the shed, to turn on the hose for Tim to fill the watering can and water our new hedge, etc.  A fun little obstacle course a couple of times a day :)  Cutting through the back garden today, I was struck by how vibrant and colourful everything is looking, so had to snap a quick photo.  The smoke bush has recovered well after the hard pruning we gave it earlier in the year.

Had a good work day, and in the evening Tim and I sat out on the balcony for a while, with a Friday night glass of wine.  Bit too chilly to sit in the summer house, but looking forward to getting out there again when it's warmer in the evenings.
