One long fart later, all is revealed
Quite a quiet day, really. Pottered around, did some sorting, noticed that there was a huge pile of pollen and blossom on our neighbour’s drive. When I investigated further, I noticed it was everywhere. This is what supercharged pollen counts look like. Towards the end of the school day, got a call from Ottawacker Jr. saying he had bad stomach cramps and would I be able to pick him up a the end of the school day? Fifteen minutes later, got a repeat call asking whether I could, in fact, pick him up now. Off I went. From his description, it sounded like appendicitis. Fortunately, our next-door neighbour is a nurse, so she popped in to see if she could advise. One good, long fart later, and her diagnosis proved correct. Pizza night was cancelled, and Ottawacker Jr. was on salad and roughage. A relief. My knowledge in these areas is severely limited – and everything seems fraught with danger.
