Feeding Time

There's still plenty of activity in the bird box, both parents are feeding the chicks and the hen is almost constantly housekeeping.

Today I have only seen six chicks, although we know all eight hatched and there were seven last night. The problem for us is that we can observe live footage but for some reason the playback footage is becoming less and less available as days go by, so we have witnessed no afternoon activity and, today, none after 7.50 this morning.  But, so far, the family seems to be surviving the hot weather and growing nicely.
