Arches and Grandstaff Canyon
We had another early start getting to Arches National Park before 7am.
We drove all through and parked at Devils Garden Trail head, with a plan to walk to Landscape Arch. It was a nice walk but rain had come in so was a little damp with a cold wind on the way back. We saw a lovely blue coloured bird but are not quite sure what it is (in extra).
We went out again later once the rain had stopped and went to Grandstaff Canyon, which we had heard was good for birds.
When we arrived someone said the walk had several creek crossings, we did not plan to do the full walk but did end up doing it. It was a bit further than we planned and a little more challenging, I fell over once but hopefully no major damage. We saw a few birds but we rushed back a little as we knew more rain was coming and we could see the clouds building. We got back in the car just as it chucked it down.
We are off out for dinner tonight.
