Luss on Loch Lomond

A visit to Loch Lomond today. A cruise on the Loch started off the day. It looks quite cloudy but we did have sunny intervals on the boat. It was warm with the sunshine, but cool when cloudy.

The picture shows Luss, a conservation village. This was the venue for a Scottish television series which I never saw. Possibly a good thing, missing the TV series that is. Luss is very pretty conservation village, the houses are all immaculate and some of the gardens are a work of art.

In the evening we had dinner at the Ingliston Country Club. There is an Italian Restaurant, Palomino's. The first time we have eaten there, it turned out to be really rather good. Ingliston is an equestrian centre.

What makes Palomino's rather special, beside the food, is the restaurant overlooks two riding arenas, one of which has jumps. So while having a meal we were watching people having riding lessons. In the early evening the pupils were mainly young girls, but later there were adults having lessons, these were mostly men. Does this mean girls take up riding as children but boys wait until they are adults?
