Irises

I am always when pleased when my irises make an appearance.  They came with the house and seem to take care of themselves. 

Today has been quiet - unusually for me I couldn't get to sleep until the wee sma' hours which put paid to getting up sharp for a swim.  Instead I read and enjoyed a long-ish lie in. 

Once up I did some family tree research - revisiting my Livingstone ancestors from Argyll and then (belatedly) oiled our garden furniture.  A further application will be need and I'll try the hardware store tomorrow. 

I also enjoyed a chat with my canan caraid (language buddy). 

In today's other news - apparently Pitlochry is currently Scotland's sunniest destination !
