Bee and a bonnet

Bee buddy Lynne invited me over to help with her third hive inspection.  She's only had the bees for three weeks and already she's put a 'super' (for honey storage ) on the top of the hive.  The frames are filling up with pollen, brood, wax and propolis, and despite our slow examination of the hive the bees remained busy and calm.  If I were to get bees I'd want some like that!

All seems to be going well and feeling secure in our bee suits is confidence building.
