Evening Light

It’s been a hot day here at 23 degrees. This morning Rickard, the owner of the house we are staying in, popped in to welcome us and answer any questions we may have. He brought with him some cinnamon buns - how kind. They were delicious!

Andy and I then visited a local nature reserve which lies on a small peninsula of Lake Båven. During our walk we saw many birds and old trees including magnificent oaks and Scot’s pines. Cattle grazed among the trees and in the meadows to maintain the long established flora of which there are over 400 species recorded.

This afternoon we’ve braved the very cold water in the lake as far as the top of our calves, and driven to a small town for a few more supplies. The sunshine has been so warm we’ve been able to eat our evening meal outside and appreciate the reflections on the lake.
