Lives Not Knives

The title of this piece of artwork recently installed at Blackburn’s cathedral. The extra has information about where each of the knives that were used came from . Each was handed in as part of an amnesty.
A big chunk of the day was spent with my close friend Jackie , she had very close links with the cathedral. After wandering round for a while we found a sunny spot in the gardens and exchanged news . I’m still getting used to the noise of urban living after our quiet and contemplative holiday .
