Santa Rita Prickly Pear

My one and only Santa Rita prickly pear flower bud popped open today.  I have no idea why I only had one bud this year.  It's usually a prolific producer. It's been pretty quiet around here since the snowbirds left.   The streets are empty, which I love.  So are the restaurants and the stores.  So much more peaceful.  I'm an admirer of peace in all of its forms.
