Award dinner

Went into the office this morning to get a few things done before for heading home at lunchtime. Our first graduate apprentice is in the final 4 for the Fife apprentice of the year award and tonight was the award ceremony and I was invited. Spent the afternoon getting ready and relearning how to tie a bow tie as it’s a full penguin suit affaire. Caught the train to Inverkeithing for the taxi to take us to the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews. Bubbles to start with and then a full dinner with the awards mixed in. Fortunately, the apprentice of the year was the first award and EG won. Spent the rest of the night trying not to say anything to get me fired. Taxi arrived at 11.30 but I was the last drop off so it was after 1am by the time I got back.
