Dry.
This is the salt marsh along the side of the Solway. You can see how dry it is at the moment, looking towards the Scottish coast near Annan. To the right are wind turbines and to the left of them are remnants of Chapel Cross nuclear power station. (What look like four white squares.) At times cattle and sheep graze on the marsh.
There are signs along the route of this road saying how deep the water gets in times of tides, from 1 foot to three feet.
